DV-2013 Visa Lottery.
DV-2013 visa lottery program is one of the official American Government's program which designed to allow people to immigrate there to maintain the foreigners diversity. People all around the world are allowed to participate in this program if they do have the simple requirements requested by the US authority. This program is popularly known as green card lottery as the successful winner will be issued with it when he starts his living in the USA.
DV-2013 has accepted application forms in the year 2010 where nearly 7,941,400 people did submitted entries to see their luck. To issue those entry permits nearly 105,628 persons were selected as winners.
It seems that Ukraine, Nigeria, Iran, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya and Nepal born people had won most slots in this selection process. Take note that any country will be allowed only 3, 500 permits in any given year.
DV 2013 Results.
All the participants were allowed to check their status online from the month of May last year. Still it is functioning through the web site. Further more there was little more name selection was done and was announced on 22nd October. This means those who had found them selves as not selected in May now have to check again their status once again.
Other Information.
If both husband and wife are selected as winners only one can allowed to process further.
If the main applicant is dead, his/her dependants can't process with that winning.
Green card will be issued under conditions only.
Confirmation number will not be reissued.
Some time those case numbers with high ranking will not be called for processing.
It is very rare to issue visas through the work experience when the applicants don't have high school certificate.
Visa Fees.
Non refundable processing fee of US$ 330, for the main applicant and each of her/his dependants.
It should be paid only to the consular office on the day of your interview personally.
Never send money by post or other means to obtain entry permits.
Interviews.
Interviews are taking place all over the world and the winners are being called from October 1st according to their case numbers. Those winners who don't have consular service to process their applications can travel to other countries to get the processing by paying their own money. Adjustment of status
The selectees living in the USA can file for adjustment of status to get a permanent resident (LPR) card when their case numbers are current in any month before the program closes. Requests for adjustment of status should be submitted to the USCIS office and not to the NVC.
Closing Date.
The program will close on 30th September 2013 midnight and after this date no one will be issued visas under this program or will not be allowed to request for LPR status under this fiscal year program.
