DV-Lottery Administrative Processing.

The DV-Lottery program which used to be conducted by the American Government is covered with strict laws and conditions. Many people think that applying for this program is a simple thing and if they win a slot there, they will be issued with the American visa to start their life there. This is absolutely wrong. The winner will be scanned thoroughly to see whether he/she is a clean person and not a threat to the U.S national interest before to be issued with the required entry permit to immigrate to the U.S.A. This process is not only done by the US consulate but also done by many Government agencies that are operating in the USA.

People from many countries used to appear to their diversity visa interviews and used to get their visas in time when they do submit all their documents and required information. For some of the unlucky people this processing may drag and can become as a nightmare if they were notified that their application is in the administrative processing because there is not any given time period to finish the processing and to issue the entry prmit.

Administrative processing is a part of the visa processing done by the American Government before to issue them under the name selection program. In this draw, the applicant must have enough lucky from the beginning till they reach their dream land the USA.

This administrative processing has two types of notices. One of it is that the consular office people are in need of some important document from your side. In this case you will have to provide those missing document on the given date and time as requested in the administrative processing sheet.

The other one is background check or name check or document check. If you have been given notice like this after the interview with the administrative processing means that you can't contact the consular office, they will contact you once your case is ready to proceed.

Normally this checking will take 2 - 6 months depending on your luck. It is normal to contact them after 2 months but don't make the officials to be annoyed by contacting them daily or on a regular base.

If the administrative processing is not finished before 30th September in any given year, there is no harm to apply for the next program.
But your chance for obtaining the visa through the past fiscal year program will never come back.
