DV Lottery Interview.

DV Lottery interviews are scheduled only for those selected winners once their case numbers are current within the participated fiscal year program only. These winners for the DV program will have to face the interview in one of the US consular office on a pre announced date to get their US Immigrant visas after proofing their eligibility to the interviewing consular officer. If the consular officer found out that you are ineligible to issue with the required American visa, the Embassy will hand over your passport with the official rejection letter and the visa processing fee will not be refunded to you.

Each fiscal year DV lottery program winners will be called for the interview from 1st of October till 30th September of next year, according to their case numbers and visa availability. The DV lottery program maintains the first come first serve system to issue the visas to the eligible winners. Lower case numbers will be called for the interview in the numerical order till the visas exhaust or till the visa lottery program closes officially for that fiscal year.

Normally the second letter which is also called as visa interview letter will come through the normal postal mail to the given address of the selected person 4 - 6 weeks prior to the DV interview date, or they will use your email address to send the notification. The email address which you provided in the visa lottery application will be used for this purpose. If you had found out found that your case number is current in the visa bulletin in any given month and if you didn't receive the interview notification then you must contact the KCC and make inquiry about the delay.

Once you had received the interview notification you must contact the local US Embassy to get the information on how to do the medical examination, how to obtain the police clearance, mode of payment for the visa processing fee and any other related information for to face the visa interview.

On the day of the visa interview you must be prepared to pay the DV Lottery visa processing fees and the other related fees for you and each of your dependants to the US Embassy as instructed by them. At the time of the interview you must provide the entire required original documents along with a passport of yours with more than 6 months validity and enough blank pages.

The interview will not be like a job seeker interview but will be a casual talk between you and the consular officer where he will asses that you are meeting the required eligibility to obtain the immigrant visas.

If the visas are accepted to be issued you will be informed about it and a collection date will be arranged.
If they require more documents from you, they will inform you about it and you have to provide it in time.
If your application is under further investigation, then you must wait for them to call you.

Don't try to provide fake documents to obtain visas or don't assist other people to get visas using fake methods. If found that you have violated the rules then you may banned from applying for any kind of American visas for life and they may handover you to the police to be prosecuted under your country law for those crimes you had committed.
