DV Lottery Apply

KCC Information.

KCC means Kentucky Consular Center and their office is located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, U.S.A.

The Diversity Visa Lottery offers up to 50,000 permanent resident visas every year to randomly selected eligible applicants from eligible countries. This Diversity Visa Lottery program is operated by the U.S. Government's Department of State. The Lottery is run once a year, usually entries to the lottery are accepted around the month of October for a period of 60 days, and the winners are randomly chosen by computer.

The program is administered directly from the U.S. Department of State Kentucky Consular Center in Williamsburg, Kentucky. This KCC was established in the year 2000 by the U.S. Department of State when they took over the administration of the DV Lottery program from the National Visa Center which was in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. From that year KCC was in charge of the DV lottery's smooth operation with providing assistance to the selection of winners and informing them. Also they are providing the necessary information service to the selected winners. Once the DV Lottery winners were posted with their greencard lottery visa letter, KCC will transfer all the relevant papers to the U.S Consular office.

NOTE: The Department of State has only one Kentucky Consular Center. Other organizations using similar names have no connection to the Department of State or KCC. There is no fee charged by the Department or KCC for sending an entry to the lottery program. A Diversity processing fee is only charged when a winning lottery entrant applies for the Diversity visa. At the time of the visa application at a U.S. consular office, each applicant (the DV entrant and any accompanying family members) will be charged a DV processing fee and immigrant visa fee. Both of these fees are non-refundable if the visa is refused.
