DV lottery countries.
DV Lottery program which is also known as USA Green card lottery allows certain country born people only to apply for the program, if they have the required qualifications. Each year, U.S Department of State (DOS) will announce which country natives are eligible to participate in the US visa lottery program and which country natives are not allowed to participate in the program.
This year US DV lottery program 2013, will not allow the following country natives to participate in the program as they were not eligible according to their unique calculation on that country's immigration in the past 5years to the USA
Here are they, BANGLADESH, BRAZIL, CANADA, CHINA (mainland-born), COLOMBIA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, ECUADOR, EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA, HAITI, INDIA, JAMAICA, MEXICO, PAKISTAN, PERU, PHILIPPINES, SOUTH KOREA, UNITED KINGDOM (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and VIETNAM. Persons born in Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Taiwan are eligible.
Those country natives who are listed below are eligible to participate in the green card lottery program if they meet the DV eligibility requirements. According to DV-2013 instructions Bangladesh natives is not eligible and Poland along with South Sudan natives are eligible to participate in the visa lottery.
