DV Lottery Winner Selection.

DV lottery winner selection is carried out at the KCC in the U.S.A. 50,000 Diversity Visas are available officially for the American Government's diversity visa lottery program DV 2011and DV 2012. When the entry submission period is over for the fiscal year lottery program, computers at the KCC will select applicants randomly from the submitted entries. The person in the entry will be registered as winner with a unique case number. All the DV 2012 applicants can check their status online in May 2011 and can view whether they are selected for the program or not. Winning notification not will be sent by postal mail to those DV 2012 winners.

There are 50,000 visas available nearly 100,000 winners will be selected for further processing. Because it is likely that some of the first 50,000 persons who are selected may not qualify for visas or pursue their cases to visa issuance, because of this nearly 100,000 entries will be selected as winners by the Kentucky Consular Center to ensure that all of the available Diversity visas are to be issued in that fiscal year.

However, this also means that there will not be a sufficient number of visas for all those who are initially selected. All applicants who are selected will be informed promptly of their place on the list. Interviews with those selected will begin in early October. The Kentucky Consular Center will send appointment letters to selected applicants four to six weeks before the scheduled interviews with U.S. consular officers at overseas posts. Each month visas will be issued, visa
number availability permitting, to those applicants who are ready for issuance during that month. Once all of the 50,000 DV visas have been issued; the program for the year will end. Other wise it will be closed normally on 30th September 2012.

In principle, visa numbers could be finished before September. Selected applicants who wish to receive visas must be prepared to act promptly on their cases. Random selection by the Kentucky Consular Center computer does not automatically guarantee that you will receive a visa. Those selected winners in the USA can contact the USCIS office when their case numbers are current according to the visa bulletin to change their current American status to LPR status. Be careful as there are many Fraudulent companies and individuals are sending winner selection notification by postal mail and through e-mails just to cheat you and collect money from you in the name of American visa lottery.
