DV Lottery winners who have been selected for the current fiscal year program must follow the provided instructions carefully. First of all it is mentioned in the winning notification if the selected winner doesn't have the required education/work experience then must not proceed with the DV Lottery winning.

Warning:
Plenty people are getting winning notifications through their email addresses for the last two months. Also in these emails they claim that these emails are coming from the American Government and also they require to send large amount of money through money transfer services. And they are requested to pay for the visa processing fees within a certain time period. This is the work of some scam people whom seems to have entered in to a popular dv lottery website and had stolen their DV Lottery applicants' full details (Full name, email and phone numbers) and using those information to cheat people. Don't respond to these emails as they are fake ones.

Other DV Lottery winners who have the required eligibility can take the next steps as instructed. If you need to contact the KCC as a winner provide your full name and your case number to them.

The KCC telephone number is 606-526-7500 (7:30am until 4:00pm EST), or send an E-mail inquiry to
KCCDV@state.gov.

Also always write your case number clearly in the upper right hand corner of all the documents and correspondence sent to the KCC.
DV Lottery winners will be looked in to two groups.
1. Winners living in foreign countries.
2. Winners staying in the USA.
Each group has different kind of procedures. The winners who are staying in the foreign countries will be issued with Immigrant visas if they proof their eligibility.

The winners staying in the USA will be allowed to change their current US status to U.S LPR status when their case numbers become current in the current fiscal year and must proof their eligibility at the USCIS. DV 2012 applicants must check in the online web site to see if they are selected for the program. This year postal mail notifications will not be sent to those DV 2012 US visa lottery winners.
