DV 2011 Application form is going to allow people to enter for the next American visa lottery. Application form for the diversity visa lottery program is only available as online E-DV application form for a certain period only. Those application forms should be downloaded from the U.S Government official web site and should be filled within the given 60 minutes of time and should be submitted along with the applicant’s digital photo file as instructed. People living in the USA too can apply for this if they meet the eligibility. They also can apply for their relatives and friends too regardless of in which country they are now living.
If you are married, then you will get another part to be filled for your spouse. If you have eligible children then you will get more forms for each child. Application form’s content is available in English language only. Failure to include your spouse or your children will disqualify you from the green card lottery program.
DV-2011 which will be conducted by the U.S Government is also called as green card lottery. The program will issue 50,000 diversity visas through computer random name selection. Later they must proof their eligibility to obtain the visa at an Interview by paying the required visa fees. The interviews will be held at US consular offices.
In the year 2007 State department website accepted entries for 60 days through their official web site for the dv lottery 2009 program. In that period more than 9.1 million people sent their entries to the KCC through the Internet. At the KCC, computers randomly selected 99,600 people as winners and notified them to apply for the immigrant visa. The dv lottery 2009 winners received their winning notification through postal mails between the periods of May to July. Winners will be called for interview through the second letter from the month of October 2008 to 30th September 2009 to issue visas. Also those applicants who are staying in the U.S.A can contact the USICS to adjust their status in this period.
For the DV2011 lottery paper entries will not be accepted. The Entry form is available only in the US Government Official web site. This web site will accept entries for 60 days only in the defined date period. Only eligible people can enter in this program. A person is allowed to enter only one entry in to the system as primary applicant with his name. If anyone enters the lottery more than one entry, all the entries will be rejected with out notice. There is no guarantee that you will be a winner.
When an eligible person want to apply for the lottery, must download the form and fill the required details and must submit with the applicant's photo as electronic file which should be made as per photo instruction. Married person must include his/her spouse and all the unmarried children who are under 21 years old Including legally adopted, previous marriage, even not living with you or if not intended to immigrate with you along with their details and a separate photo for each of them. (Children who are citizen of USA or PR holder don’t need to be included)
On acceptance of your entry you will get a Confirmation letter which you can save or print.
The unique number will allow you to check online whether you are selected or not for further processing from July 2009 for the DV2010 program.
DV 2010 Results will be sent between May to July 2009 to the winners only, by regular postal mail.
Don't forget a person can apply only once with his name as primary applicant. If applied more than once all the entries will be rejected with out any notice.
Following country people do apply in big numbers for the dv lottery program. They are Algeria, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Egypt, Morocco, Bangladesh, Nepal, Albania, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Australia and New Zealand.
For the DV 2010 Natives of the following countries were not allowed to participate in the DV visa lottery.

Kingdom) and Poland. Great Britain (United Kingdom) includes the following dependent areas: Anguilla,
Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn, St. Helena, and
Turks and Caicos Islands, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Canada and Mexico are
diversity program.
